Tough times don't last. Tough people do.
When those tough times come know that they are only coming to pass through. They are not meant to take up permanent residence in your life. So toughen up and resist the urge to accept that you will always find yourself in this position of hardship. God says He will be your help, refuge, and strength (Psalm 46). God can and will strengthen you (Philippians 4:13).
Believe it. My prayer for you today is that you wouldn't settle for looking at your current hardships as the destination. Rather, that you would look to JesusChrist, who is our promise.
One day, we won't be in surrounded by the mess in this world. We will be restored and this world will be renewed. What a glorious day that will be!
Whatever you are going through today won't compare to where you will arrive. I encourage you to pray for the courage, toughness, and strength that can only be found in Him. Trust me, I know how hard it is to live patiently when you feel the troubles come along. But I must always remind myself that they are only temporary. It is crucial that I go through what I am going through because I need it to get me to move from where I am. Sometimes you wouldn't move unless troubles forced you to move.
Sometimes, we are content to setup shop in whatever current state we are in. It's as if we don't care for progress, change, or being a blessing. So God will allow these hardships to alert us that there is more than what we have accepted as truth.
His truth will lead us as the shepherd leads his sheep to still waters and has them lay down in green pastures (Psalm 23). So will He lead us through any valley of death. Believe it.
Send this to someone that needs encouragement.
